OIL HAD FLOWED 200 MILES DOWNSTREAM FROM BURST PIPELINE NEAR SHIPROCK, NEW MEXICO. A LOG BOOM MADE CHIEFLY OF TELEPHONE POLE SECTIONS AT THIS SITE SERVED TO CONTAIN MOST OF THE SLICK AND DEBRIS UNTIL FLOODING CAUSED OVERFLOW INTO LAKE POWELL
